Completed in 2023, Linework Study focuses on gesture, contour, and the expressive quality of restraint. It treats drawing as a sequence of small decisions, where each line has to earn its place.

Negative space is an active part of the image. Small shifts in line weight, rhythm, and placement carry the mood, allowing the composition to feel spare without becoming empty.

The piece works as a compact study in how little visual information is needed when gesture and spacing are tuned carefully.
